George Frideric Handel was born in Germany, but spent most of his life in England.
He composed his oratorio called 'The Messiah' in 1741.
An oratorio is a piece of choral music.
Handel's Messiah celebrates the story of Jesus. The Hallelujah Chorus honours Jesus's resurrection.
